When making our production logo, we had to decide which font we think suited best for our genre, font is a key aspect when making a production logo as it contributes to making your genre able to be identified.
The first font we look at was called ‘Face Your Fears’, his was our favourite one as we liked that it made it look as if it had roughly been drawn on with paint. We thought by making this red it would look like a blood and so give off the effect that someone has written our production logo in blood. We thought that this font would look quite gruesome once it was the colour red and was quite simple and not over the top. We thought this suited out genre perfectly and so decided to use this one for our production logo.
The second font we looked at was called ‘Oh No’ this had similar features to the first one. This font also looked like it had been drawn on with paint but had splatters of paint which we thought would be a good effect to have as it would look like blood. Unlike the first one this was drawn rougher which we liked the look of and so we were stuck between these two as they were similar but ad small differences.
The last font we looked at was called ‘Night Bird’ this was also had similar features to the first and second font. This font was bolder and all letters were in capitals. We liked the style of this as when this font is changed to the colour red it would look like it had been written in blood, just like the first two fonts, and so we liked this font as this was the style we were looking for. We decided not to pick this font as we thought it was too bold.
The third font we looked at was ‘Something Strange’. We liked the dripping effect it had under words as we wanted our font to look like blood. By having the dripping effect underneath once the font was red it would look like blood dripping. We liked the look of this font but then realized it was similar to our other production logo we made last time and we wanted to do something different also we thought that this was too neat and didn’t look like it had been spontaneously drawn, which is the effect we wanted.
